Typing this up @ the scene of today's STRONGER moment: Coronado Beach.
Minutes ago I just finished my 1st 5 mile run! This is the furthest I've pushed myself. Just think, I just started 4 mile runs just 1 week ago!
I'm pushing my body' limits, and so far it's responding well (knock on wood please).

Today's STRONGER Moment: 05/06/11
I passed up on any Cinco de Mayo celebration last night, to get up early this morning. I woke up at 5am, a little sluggish and left the house at 5:20.
I knocked out 4.02mi in 41min, pushing hard when I felt like stopping. I actually BEAT my time on my previous run 2 days ago for the same distance, by *1 MINUTE/MILE!
I try to "Livestrong" and push myself to a place I've never been before, all because of my man JB. He's lived 3x stronger than anyone I've ever known, and I know it's inside of all of us to "Livestrong."
He never gave up, and that's what helps fuel my fire inside.

It's Been Too Long
Since I've posted on here. To catch you up since then:
- I've been hanging out with friends weekly.
- After a short resting period (and being sick), I'm running again. 5k daily.
- I've been watching what I eat, sort of counting all the calories in my head. I have 1 free day a week, but I don't splurge on anything crazy.
- I started reading a new book. Helter Skelter by Vincent Bulugosi. It's about the Manson Murders in Hollywood, of actress Sharon Tate and some of her friends. Very interesting so far, it was a pretty wicked crime scene how they describe it. This book was one of my recommended books in a crime scene class I had at Grossmont, but never got around to it.

Week in Review: 04/11/11 - 04/17/11
This week started off real shitty. Was sick from Saturday the 9th until Wednesday the 13th, with sniffles and mucus lasting a couple of extra days.
I signed up for the MS walk on Friday. The walk is April 30th @ NTC, more details to follow.
I started back up running again Friday. I was on a real good one, and didn't know I did not turn on my Nike+GPS running App, so it only recorded 1/2 my run. It was a good run, almost 5K. 1st day back in a long time after hurting my foot and being sick. Felt really good, and was the beginning of my return to fitness.
Saturday was pretty good. Just relaxed. Work was real slow Saturday, so I forwarded the office phone to my cell. I had a craving for sushi, so Angie & I went back with some friends to Tokyo Sushi. I ordered the California Roll with Lobster again. It was pretty good, but last time seemed better. I had 1 Sapporo beer. While eating, we decided to go downtown. One of the girls' co-workers was having a birthday party at Fluxx.
By the time we arrived downtown, the line to get in was so long, the guys working there told us we probably would not get in that night. We left and wandered around the Gaslamp. Angie and I had no preference of where to go, we were along for the ride. Since Kristina is fresh to 21, we let her pick. We went to the Ivy.
We didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes to get in. I guess we were still "early," because the place sure got packed after an hour or so. The music started off well, then went so-so. I limited myself to 2 drinks that night: an Adios Motherf*cker and a Rockstar/Jagermeister cocktail. I was feeling pretty good, Angie and I were dancing for a while, then it started getting real hot & packed on the dance floor. Ashley & Kristina were getting it out on the floor. Those girls had guys waiting in line, to get a chance to dance with them. Angie and I were feeling tired, and since we all came downtown together Angie and I went upstairs and relaxed, watching the dance floor from a distance. We began to get real tired just standing, and we wanted to leave early, so we told the girls we were going to grab a bite to eat. This was around midnight. Yes, midnight. We were not on our game that night, we tired early.
Luckily, only a 1/2 block away is Brian's 24. We have eaten there a few times over the years, and knew it was good food open late. I had a nice avocado and bacon omelette. I didn't eat my potatoes or pancakes (carbs late @ night, you know!). The girls called when they were leaving the club, and we went home.
Angie and I had a real nice Sunday. We went to Kobey's Swap Meet and walked around. I got a new wallet that was much-needed for a looooooong time. After the swap meet we went to El Indio for some potato rolled tacos. That really hit the spot. Went home and did laundry, watched TV and went to bed. A very nice ending to a week that started off horrible.
Week in Review: 04/04/11-04-10-11
Nothing much has changed. Went running once this week, was finished nursing a sore right foot. I started feeling sick Saturday, and was out of commission until Tuesday the 13th.

Week in Review: 03/28-04/03/11
This week started off real well, and ended on a shitty note.
I'm eating Subway everyday still. I'm rotating between breakfast sandwich (when I can get there b4 11am), turkey breast and black forest ham. I load up with lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, green pepper, black olive and jalapeƱo. Currently I'm eating the whole 12", but will try to separate into (2) 6" and spread out over a few hours.
I ran 3x, with Friday going for my longest run. It turned out to be my last run til yesterday. The right side of my right foot started to be real painful, beginning Saturday afternoon.
I tried "walking it off" at the San Ysidro outlet mall, but proved to be too painful. It was worse Sunday, but started feeling better Tuesday.
Trying new things again. I had sushi Saturday night. Yes, SUSHI! I know I don't eat that stuff, but my wife and some friends were going to dinner there, and it was worth a shot. Try new things, right?
Well...I enjoyed it. We went to Tokyo Sushi on El Cajon Bl., near Montezuma Rd. The atmosphere was great, music was playing, there was lots of TVs (Final Four was on!). Started the night off with a couple Sake Bombs, and polished off a couple Sapporo tall boys. I ordered a California Roll with lobster, and a Heart Attack, which had spicy tuna and jalapeƱos. Yum yum!
Friday night went to a friend's house and played Michael Jackson Experience for Wii. Good times & libations.
I lifted weights a bunch. Getting STRONGER by the day!

New Workout Plan
I think that besides running, and lifting weights, the "New Workout Plan" is The Michael Jackson Experience for the Wii. Haven't seen it or played it?: check it out!
